During its last inspection on March 22, 2004 Fauna Foods achieved a "Superior" rating."Superior" is the highest classification rating possible.

The AIB is an independent national organization that sets standards for Food Distributor Centers. The criteria of these standards is a combination of the Federal Foods, Drug and Cosmetic Act; Good Manufacturing Practices; U.S. Military Sanitary Standards; The Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act and Good Management Principles. The categories that are examined are:

• Adequacy of the Food Safety Program
• Pest Control
• Operational Methods and Personnel Practices
• Maintenance for Food Safety
• Cleaning Practices
