New Accounts

Lead time for processing new accounts usually requires 3-5 business days. An Account Manager for your area will return your call to gather information and assist you in preparing your first order.  All new accounts are billed on a cash or certified check basis (bank check or money orders are accepted). To pay for future orders by company check please have your bank submit our Bank Inquiry form by fax (718) 458-3142.  Once our Accounting Department receives an acceptable Bank Inquiry form your account terms will be changed to C.O.D. (Check on Delivery).  A Resale Certificate or Tax Exemption must be submitted to avoid being charged tax.

Order Forms

You may place your order with Fauna Foods by phone (718)458-2900, by fax (718) 458-3142 / (718)228-2918 or by email inside.sales@faunafoods.com  For your benefit as well as to ensure accuracy we strongly urge you to use Fauna Foods order forms when faxing.  Our order forms list the items we carry by brand, variety and size along the Fauna Foods item number.  These forms have also proven to be useful when placing orders by phone as a tool to track your inventory needs and also assists the Inside Sales Representative in processing your order.  These forms can be obtained through your Sales Representative or available online.

Special Display Rack Orders

Several of the manufacturers we represent have various Point of Purchase displays to enhance visibility in your store, and therefore increase your volume. Most P.O.P. display racks are FREE with a MINIMUM order to fill the display. These programs vary and there are contracts which must be signed PRIOR to shipment. Sales Service will convey your interest in these opportunities to your Account Manager who is authorized to expedite these special deals on your behalf. Due to the special delivery needs and set-up scheduling problems, these orders cannot simply be added to your order. Some racks are in stock, and others are special ordered depending on each manufacturer’s program. In Stock displays can be arranged within five (5) days. Special order racks can take up to six (6) weeks.

Returned Checks

If you check is returned to Fauna Foods due to insufficient or uncollected funds, your account will be cahrged $45.00 and Placed on A CASE OR CERTIFIED CHECK BASIS FOR SIX (3) MONTHS. All costs associated with collection of payment are at the expense of the customer, including collection agency costs, court costs, legal costs and interest on the unpaid balance at the maximum legal rate.

Re-Stock Charge

There is a $50.00 re-delivery/re-stocking charge for returned orders.

Return Policy

Checking Your Delivery

Fauna Foods checking system has been designed and implemented into our order processing system to ensure the accuracy of your order. In the unlikely event there is a shortage, discrepancy or problem with your order, it must be resolved at the time of deliver. If any item is found to be ripped, dented or cosmetically damaged, we will accept the product for return only at the time of delivery. This can be resolved with the driver immediately and a credit may be deducted from the invoice. We are sorry, Credit for damages and shortages cannot be issued after the delivery has been made.

Consumer Product Returns

The manufacturers we represent guarantee most products we carry to your customers. If a retail customer is not satisfied for any reason, we will gladly exchange the product for you. All we ask is that you call the manufacturer with the following information:

4. Product Information with Code Date
5. Approximate Date of Purchase

Unwanted Product

If a product was shipped to you in error, we will certainly accept the products back for a full credit. If the product to be returned is unwanted (did not sell well, is overstocked, etc.) we will gladly accept the product for return if it is: Please note that in order for product to be accepted for credit, it must be:

• In full case quantity or as purchased
• In its original packaging
• In salable condition
• Within 60 days of being purchased
• Free of price tags or writing of any type
• Itemized on a Merchandise Return from and inspected by our driver for return
   (Written legibly in advance of driver pick-up)

Understandably, there is a 15% re-stocking fee for unwanted product.

Product

Credit will not be issued for store breakage, old or abused product or products not in salable condition. (Product will not be accepted for return that was not purchased from Fauna Foods Corp.)

Out of Code Date, Infested & Contaimnated Products

Please contact your Account Manager directly or ask your Inside Sales Representative to contact them for you. Your Account Manager will respond to this issue to quickly document and process the paperwork to speed up the credit to your account.

Do not dispose of the product
until you have spoken to your Account Manager.

Please have your Merchandise Return Form prepared along with UPC Label from the product. This will help expedite the processing. Fauna foods deliveery personnel are not autherized to handle returns of out of code date, infested and contaminated products.

Superior Rating

Fauna Foods is committed to providing its customers and consumers with the best in product quality, handling and service.

With this as a goal, Fauna Foods is enrolled in an inspection program with AIB International Department of Foods Safety and Hygiene.

Fauna Foods Corp. is proud of its achievement of a: “Superior” Rating. “Superior” is the highest classification rating possible.

The AIB is an independent national organization that sets standards for Food Distribution Centers. The criteria of these standards are a combination of The Federal Foods, Drug and Cosmetic Act; Good Manufacturing Practices; U.S. Mitary Sanitary Management Principles.

The categories that are examined are:
• Adequacy of the Food Safety Program
• Pest Control
• Operational Methods and Personnel Practices
• Maintenance for Food Safety
• Cleaning Practices

Due to these stringent operational procedures, infested product cannot be returned to Fauna Foods.

Pallets

Both chep pallets and white pallets are an integral part of total supply chain management. As a result of the costs and benefits of the pallets, there is a $12.00 charge for each chep pallets, there is a $12.00 charge for each chep pallet and $5.00 for each white pallet left at the store. A credit will be issued to your account for every pallet returned to us on subsequent deliveries.

Dented Cans Found within a case or broken bags found within any bale

Our drivers will gladly accept any IAMS dented cans or broken bags found within any bale or case for return provided it is:

• Within 15 days of being purchased
• Itemized on a Merchandise Return form
• Free of price tags or writing of any type

No Restocking Fee will be Accessed For These Items.

Pricing

Most of our product line have ‘LEVEL’ pricing. The LEVEL indicate the price you will pay for a product. Our products are divided into weight classification; either by the case or by the piece. Each item’s prices are printed as a double row of figues with the Delivered price on the top row and the Pick-up price on the bottom row. Some items, because of their light weight do not have a delivery charge attached to them.

Some products are sold by the ‘case’ and on an ‘each’or ‘per piece’ basis. When you purchase by the case rather than per piece you automatically SAVE approximately 10% on your purchase.

The manner in which you move from one price LEVEL to the next is determined by a total weight and total units purchased. We combine IAMS, Eukanuba, SunSeed and Everclean, in determining your weight price LEVEL. Thus, the Greater the weight of your order, the GREATER THE DISCOUNT!

In addition, items purchased from our other product lines (those not mentioned above) will also be priced at the same weight LEVEL at which your order is priced. THIS MEANS THAT YOU EARN DISCOUNTS ON OUR OTHER ITEMS AS WELL!
